This is a new thing in jaunty. I'm only running the padevchooser applet, and my computer's idle and not playing anything nor any other computer on the network is streaming anything to it and my pulseaudio daemon has a constant cpu usage of 8-15%.

UPDATE: I think I know what's causing that for me, It's the network-access features. Enabling either "Enable network access from local sound devices" or "Make discoverable network sound devices available locally" from pa's preferences. |
