Bug Description

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

EMU 0404 USB used to work fine in Intrepid Ibex with no required configuration. Now I can't get no sound in Jaunty and I tried using pavucontrol. The streams are all correctly going to the soundcard but still no sound.

I have the same problem. EMU 0404 USB worked flawlessly in intrepid, even with PulseAudio.

Now, the card works fine without pulseaudio (for example `aplay -Dplughw:1 wavefile.wav` works).
However, with pulseaudio, there is static and noise only and after a few seconds of playback pulseaudio dies.

Please let me know if there are any relevant logs you would like me to attach to help diagnose this. For me this is a horrible regression.

Can you please check if this is a duplicate of #366708, esp. if disabling suspend-on-idle works for you?

This is fixed for me with 0.9.14-0ubuntu20.
I can't confirm whether it's a duplicate anymore.

Is there anyone still having this problem? It seems that the update of pulseaudio fixed it for some of you but for me it didn't..

As Markus Lindenberg said this is a duplicate of #366708.
Disabling suspend-on-idle solved this. Thank you.
