Pulseaudio doesn't detect hardware after first start

Bug Description

Pulse audio doesn't show any devices in the volume applet just after login, although the system plays login sound and GDM sound well. But it shows the device after "killall pulseaudio; pulseaudio".

If this is under jaunty, then this bug is a duplicate as I am now indicating. Please let me know if this is not Jaunty.
