3) I expect to be able to run Rhythmbox and Firefox simultaneously and hear both programs.
4) If Rhythmbox is already open when I open Firefox, Firefox fails to produce any sound. Visually, it appears to function properly (videos play in YouTube and the like), but none of the sounds produced by Firefox are heard from the speakers. Pausing Rhythmbox does not correct the problem. Shutting down Rhythmbox does not currect the problem either. I have to shut down both programs and restart Firefox. The reverse is also true. If Firefox is opened first, I cannot hear Rhythmbox, though I can see it playing.
