Bug Description
Binary package hint: pulseaudio
Hi! I'm not sure what the bug policy is for Wine and apps running under wine. I'm trying to play Fallout3 on Wine; I suppose Fallout is not supported but Wine should.
If PA is running, Wine chooses by default its Alsa mode. This plays sound, but it gets very very stuttery. (Not so bad during the menus, but unplayable during the games; it also seems to lag and crash.)
If I set it to OSS the sounds is clear (it doesn't seem to matter if I use padsp when starting wine, I don't know if it has any effect). It seems crashy, but I can't tell if it's related.
If I killall pulseaudio and set Wine to use Alsa, it works perfectly.
