Bug Description

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

Intrepid Alpha 6, clean install

Installed padevchooser

No permission for PA settings or to restart the daemon

sudo adduser $USER pulse-access
sudo adduser $USER pulse-rt

No permission

Changed permission for the /.esd_auth file and it works again with permissions.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 9.04? Are you using a system-wide PulseAudio daemon instance, or are you using the default desktop per-user session?

Nope.. its not.

But I have been running PA from GIT at least 2 months without any trouble including Alsa 1.018a

I cannot understand what the meaning is with tons of patches for ver 9.013 ??? self-punishment..???

Take a GIT snapshot and be happy... ;) automake must be upgraded a step...
