Bug Description
Binary package hint: pulseaudio
Hi,
I installed the x-fi alsa driver. So far so good. Sound was working but only when choose ALSA in the perference, not pulseaudio.
I found help in this bug: https:/
I added a similar line for my x-fi and now it is working with pulseaudio, too.
But the quality is very bad, it sounds like an old LP (cracking noise). If I use ALSA direct the sound is good.

The sound issue i get is a hissing sound overlaid on the output, if i change the speaker setup after boot it disappears until the next boot. I have only tried this on openSUSE, as my ubuntu box doesn't have any PCI slots (all on board), and only has sound "jumping" issues relating to system load.
