Bug Description
if for example, firefox is playing streaming media then stopped, and another application such as (but not limited to) vlc is opened, it will not play sounds until log off or restart. as someone who monitors ubuntuforums many hours a day, i can report that many people are having this problem in Hardy. a fix, (not newbie friendly) can be found here: http://
maybe the fix can give some input to the problem.
