Bug Description

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

Since upgrading to Hardy when playing any sound file, there is a crackling noise that happens intermediately through out play back. I'm not sure how else to describe this or what other info to provide. Please let me know.

It seems to be an issue with upgrading though as a fresh Hardy install on the same hardware does not have this issue. Reinstalling pulse audio does not resolve the issue.

Attached is the out put from alsa-info.sh

On further investigation, this actually seems to only effect files played through exaile.

Exaile functioned fine on this under Gutsy as well as the fresh Hardy install. So I assume this has something to do with the dist-upgrade and the addition of pulse audio to Ubuntu in Hardy.

I have the same issue but i have it with all mediaplayers (only tested with Gstreamer ones, rhytmbox and totem)

If i'm listening to some music and then switch to my browser i hear a crackeling noice, often louder then the actual music.
