pa_pid_file_create() failed. No sound after upgrade to Ubuntu 20.04 from 19.04

Giving up on this. upgrade to 20.04 has put me in a difficult situation from enjoying sound in my online classes. will have to downgrade or get a Windows Os to continue my learning
