Just change the volume quickly when playing a sound, and you can hear really small cracking sounds as the volume increases/
Not critical for the user experience but can be a bit annoying.
Remember that here pulse is only changing the volume for the multimedia role itself (or any other active role used when reproducing the bug). Not really touching the hardware.
