no sound from microphone

i recently upgraded to Ubuntu Vivid. Sound from Microphone does not reach pulseaudio sound server, but it passes directly to speakers (i can hear myself)

Solved for me. The solution was to add:
    load-module module-alsa-source device=hw:0,0
to /etc/pulse/default.pa just before the udev stuff, and also mute the microphone in alsamixer

Ubuntu 15.04 (vivid) reached end-of-life on February 4, 2016.
