Bug Description
Steps to reproduce:
1) Start playback of an audio file in Rhythmbox.
2) Suspend the system whilst the audio file is playing.
3) Wake the system from suspend, and the "password screen lock" dialog appears. Notice that the audio resumes playing before the user enters their password.
My particular use-case problem was that I frequently suspend my laptop with my earbuds in (usually at high volume), and frequently resume the system with the earbuds removed. The volume hotkeys do not work during the password lock screen, so there's no way to mute the volume except by entering the password. During which time, the system is blaring music through the speakers.
Upon discussing with other people, I am beginning to question whether the problem is not the volume hotkey buttons being inactive during password lock screen, but rather with the sound card itself being active during system lock screen.
For example, Person A is listening to an audio recording containing sensitive information (a voice mail recording, for example), when they suspend their system and step away. Person B can resume Person A's system and listen to the rest of the audio file without entering any credentials.
