Bug Description

I'm using Xubuntu 12.10, but this may apply for Ubuntu as well. Every time I want to setup bluetooth audio devices, I have to edit several config files, and spend hours trying to get audio to work. I think there should be a way to configure bluetooth audio devices via gui, like I can in OSX and Windows. This doesn't seem to be a technical limitation, I guess no one has bothered suggesting it.

You should be able to configure the device under the Bluetooth Settings.

You can connect the device, but you cannot actually configure you Xubuntu to use the audio device without messing around with config files.

Does pavucontrol not do what you are after?

The bluetooth device doesn't even show up in pavucontrol without me having to manually add it, even though it's paired and connected. Even if i get it to show up, I cannot set it as the main audio device from pauvcontrol. I can only control the volume.
