No sound with and without pulseaudio installed. Maybe alsa problem

Bug Description

After hibernation on asus f83fv playback was not worked. After this I have removed pulseaudio, but now there are no sound with or without it. Sound levels in alsamixer is normal and console audio tools such as mocp works as sound is muted.

Sorry for delay, here is output of pactl. After full(with cleaning configs)
reinstalling pulseaudio playback and recording works. You right, the
problem was the following: after I unplug headphones jack, there are no
sound

Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu.
Ubuntu 12.10 (quantal) reached end-of-life on May 16, 2014.

See this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases:

We appreciate that this bug may be old and you might not be interested in discussing it any more. But if you are then please upgrade to the latest Ubuntu version and re-test.
