THERE IS NO SOUND OF ANY KIND. IN SOUND SETTINGS IT SEEMS TO SHOW SOUND DEVICE BUT DOESNT MAKE ANY SOUND WHEN TESTING.

Under Ubuntu 12.04 , I have no problem with my sound .I test your new version 12.10 but I have a big problem with the sound.

NO SOUND ! ! ! !

Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu.
Ubuntu 12.10 (quantal) reached end-of-life on May 16, 2014.

We appreciate that this bug may be old and you might not be interested in discussing it any more. But if you are then please upgrade to the latest Ubuntu version and re-test.
