Bug Description

The internal mic doesn't work at all on cold boot. After reloading alsa, sound is recorded by with lots of static. Changing Mic Boost or Capture levels didn't help.

The 'options snd-hda-intel model=laptop-amic' seems to be a workaround. The internal mic is now detected and works, but there is still some static noise when speaking, thought not durring pauses.

I've been able to workaround the crackling noise the microphone was recording by removing pulseaudio.

affects: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) → pulseaudio (Ubuntu)

the volume control seem have large gain (0x2e - 0x11)

you have to post the pulseaudio verbose log

did the crackling occur when capture volume is over 0dB ?

post the output of alsa-info.sh
