Update: I have installed the newest Nvidia beta driver from Nvidia's web site and the problem went away. In order for this to be fixed, the newest beta Nvidia driver needs to be added to the repo. The newest driver also includes a fix for a security vulnerability as well (no CVE yet). Please add the newest Nvidia beta driver to the repos.

Using PRIMUS_UPLOAD=1 fixes the black screen/corruption issue, but has massive speed issues instead. +1 for adding nvidia-334 to official repo (installing nvidia drivers manually will usually break something in the long run).
