2009-04-07 16:43:54 Bernhard description Binary package hint: gdm The automatic login currently does not work for me, it keeps sending me to the gdm login. It worked first when I installed jaunty beta, but one of the updates broke it. What happens is that Ubuntu starts up naturally, but then a boot screen appears which says that there were problems starting pulseaudio and then it sends me to the login screen. If I login normally, I can resume without problems, but the bug is still strange. Could it be related to the known pulseaudio problems? ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 Package: gdm 2.20.10-0ubuntu2 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_CA.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/zsh SourcePackage: gdm Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic i686 Binary package hint: gdm The automatic login currently does not work for me, it keeps sending me to the gdm login. It worked first when I installed jaunty beta, but one of the updates broke it. Ubuntu boots normally, then it tries to start X, but something goes wrong so I get a number of starred messages and one star in there is red and that one says: pulseaudio configured for per-user session (that's the exact wording, my earlier one was incorrect, sorry). This should be a bug, shouldn't it? I'm pretty sure preload and automatic login were compatible in intrepid.
