Bug Description
Binary package hint: praat
1. Make WAV files in 2 different directories.
2. Run praat and do "Read->Read from file" to read one WAV file into praat.
3. Use praat's "Directories" navigator to open the other directory. Note that the "Files" list does not change to show the files in the new directory. Therefore once a file has been read, then no files from other directories can be read.
This problem occurs with praat 5.0.2-1 (using Kubuntu 8.04 amd64) and praat 5.0.26-1 (using Kubuntu Intrepid Alpha5 amd64).
A possibly related problem is that the praat "Praat picture" window does not close when I click its Close icon.
If I build praat using libmotif3 rather than lesstif2 then these problems do not occur.
This bug still occurs in Kubuntu 9.10 Alpha6 amd64.
It seems that when you select a directory from the Directories Navigator, the leaf-name of the previously selected File is appended to the selected Directory Name. This means that the files in the selected directory are not listed as available for selection.
The problem still occurs where it is not possible to close the Praat Picture Window.
