pppd or pptpd fails when client try to connect

Bug Description

I have configured pptpd and pppd services with default configures which should be work.
Always that client try to connect to pptpd connection seems to FAIL.

In syslog I get this GRE: Bad checksum from pppd, this issue seems to be problem to many users and there is lots of question in forums when this error is fixed in Ubuntu.

There is no any applet for configuring PPTP server in ubuntu? or are there? Is that GNOME applet purpose only configure PPTP client side?

The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Karmic Koala. I've a similar error on my ubuntu jaunty on desktop when I try to connect to the server on Ubuntu.

I have same issue, system was ok before kernel update 3.13.0-45. After update I could't connect any more. mppe might be broken on this kernel?
