I see this too.

I have a setup where my ubuntu server shares its ,mobile connection(via usb modem) to other computers.
The pattern I see is that it get disconnected every single night and I have to reinsert the modem and type in
the pin again to make it work.

The syslog shows a modem hangup so not something ppp can do much about.
I'd expect network manager to tell you that you got disconnected and then you should be able to select that network again, if that's not the case, then there's probably a bug somewhere in modem-manager or network-manager.

Hi dudes.
Same problem. I just "sudo service modemmanager restart" and reconnect.
Sometimes it happens each minute and sometimes it doesn't happens for all night and IDK why.
