Bug Description

Desktop PC, Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS, using KDE

I noticed that my desktop's monitor never went to sleep despite setting the display to power off after 10 minutes. I noticed the following message in ~/.xsession-errors:

powerdevil: Disabling DPMS due to inhibition

I narrowed it down to amazon.com being open in one tab. I suspect that Amazon's use of HTML5 <video> tag to show ads is keeping the screen from turning off. This is useful when one is watching videos and having the screen turn off is a frustration. However, in my case, the video ads were not even visible and the screen wouldn't shut off despite hours of inactivity.

If this is actually a bug for Chrome, please let me know.
