As a workaround, downloading the POWDER Linux binary directly from the developer's website (http://www.zincland.com/powder/index.php?pagename=release) does work fine.

I can confirm this works in 10.04, with version 112-1ubuntu1

I took a look at this, found that I was unable to reproduce it on Ubuntu 10.04 with version 112-1ubuntu1 (or any later releases). I did find this Debian bug (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=492506) which seems to cover the same crash which was fixed in 109-1.

Unless someone are still able to trigger this, I believe this issue can be closed as Fix Released.

Thanks Jamie.

As we haven't heard from anyone else, I believe it is safe to mark this fix released.
