If I'm guessing, this bug report has the same root cause as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/postgresql-9.3/+bug/1419925

In this case, I was allowing the software center to update other parts of my system, and this bug report was created along the way.
As one might expect, I was anticipating that the software center would do its thing without error....
