Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, at this time this bug lacks some basic information and is pretty general. Could you please try the following to see if we can get more information on the error:

sudo service postgresql start
Does it return any specific errors?

And please check: /var/log/postgresql/postgresql*.log
Do you see any errors?

The package installation is failing at starting postgresql "The PostgreSQL server failed to start. Please check the log output." so if we could get you to manually try and start it we can see if there is an error thrown out that can be fixed.
