Postgresql chokes on " characters in configuration files

Bug Description

Binary package hint: postgresql-common

PostgreSQL chokes if you use " characters to quote values in configuration files.

Changing the " characters to ' works but PostgreSQL should not be this brittle.

*shrug* that has always been the case and is primarily a cosmetic issue. I'll ask upstream about it, though.
