Ah, seems to be an intermittent problem with locales. Does en_GB.UTF-8 now work after the upgrade was complete? (locales -a). I didn't see "locales" being updated or installed in the log, was this a full or partial upgrade? |

Ah, that would be it. postgresql-8.3 should explicitly depend on locales to make sure they are already configured. |
