Text becomes unreadable when selected in an upward direction

Some parts of the text were blocked out (as shown on screenshot attached).

Having reviewed the screenshot I submitted here, I realize that this bug is not visible in the screenshot I provided. The screenshot makes it seem that the problem does not exist. However, some text is indeed not visible (highlighted over) when selected in evince.

Perhaps this will be of use to you in pinpointing the problem, thank-you.

For example, if you select the "Nokia 2690 User Manual" header on the first page in an upward direction, on my PC it obscures the text.

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? I don't notice this problem in Natty as much.

Possibly unrelated is a problem with highlighting in the "Nokia 2690 Manual.pdf" file I provided to you.

I'll attach a screenshot of what I mean.
