Bug Description

Binary package hint: evince

You may duplicate this functionality by opening the New York State Board of Elections Voter Registration Form at
http://www.elections.state.ny.us/NYSBOE/download/voting/voteform_enterable.pdf

All of the form elements seem to behave correctly except for the Select form element used for selecting the county which you currently live in. When clicking on it you can scroll through the options but upon clicking on one it will only select the top most element. This bug leaves the element unusable.

I can confirm this with evince 2.26.2 on Fedora 11 as well. As an additional point, if the document is zoomed out too far, then you can not even view or scroll the elements in the selection box. I would imagine that it should be a drop-down box.

This bug was originally reported in the Ubuntu bug forums at:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/473005

In addition, I would like to add that the scroll bars for the item selection
can get in the way of the selections because the form element does not drop
down. Only if you zoom in can there be enough room to see the option values."

This is even worse in evince 2.28.1-0ubuntu1.2 using poppler 0.12.0-0ubuntu2.1. I cannot even scroll through the list of countries. Clicking on the element causes it to become obscured by a small rectangular frame which contains an even smaller grey rectangle (possibly a display area?) with < and > on either side.

Also the "Clear Form" button does nothing except remove the focus.

Entering evince voteform_enterable.pdf at a command prompt gives the following error twice, in addition to displaying the document:

** (evince:2219): WARNING **: Unimplemented annotation: POPPLER_ANNOT_SQUARE, please post a bug report in Evince bugzilla (http://bugzilla.gnome.org) with a testcase.

Clicking the "Clear Form" button gives two more copies of this error.

OK, ignore the first paragraph of my previous post. I turns out that what I was describing is a scroll bar. If I zoom in as described in the gnome and freedesktop bugs attached to this bug, then I can see the options and scroll through them, however if I click on one it will still only select the top most element.
