Bug Description

I started with a PDF downloaded from www.csc.ncsu.edu/faculty/anton/pubs/icse98.pdf‎ and attempted to put it through OCR.

Immediately on loading through File>Open the images from the PDF were rendered with a vertical flip (as if this operation had been performed on each page in Gimp).

Consequently it was unable to process the text at all.

This looks like a bug in poppler.

 pdfimages -f 1 -l 1 icse98.pdf x

creates x-000.pbm

 display x-000.pbm

also shows the image flipped vertically.

affects: gscan2pdf (Ubuntu) → poppler (Ubuntu)
Changed in poppler (Ubuntu):
