Make Policykit Match Gksu

Bug Description

Binary package hint: policykit-gnome

Make the policykit authorization dialog match the gksu dialog. Currently, only gksu features fade and policykit has a window border while gksu does not. These inconsistencies give the appearance of an unprofessional operating system and have no apparent purpose. Considering their similar function, it seems obvious that the two match.

Hi,

policykit is intended to be used instead of gksu, so hopefully there will only
be one in the future.

Also, policykit doesn't grab fullscreen, and is intended to be more like a normal
window, so it may not be appropriate to do the same effects.

However, it may still be desired.

Mirco, is there any plan to modify the policykit-gnome dialogs as well?

Thanks,

James

I share Wouter's sentiments. PolicyKit is an aesthetical downgrade.

As a tablet user I must say that policy kit is acutally a functional upgrade

Please don't adept this ugly gksu behaviour. in a tablet pc you need to enable window border for gksu in order to be able to insert the password with an onscreen keyboard - which leads to problems and looks very ugly.

Please keep it as a normal gtk window and don't use this transparency hack. If transparency is desired the theme engine should take care of it!

Sorry, but your statement is invalid as gksu has an accessiblity option to
enable the window border for they keyboard input.

It's all taken care of... and the rest shouldn't have to suffer.
