Bug Description

Binary package hint: policykit-1-gnome

natty i386 a2 updated

got this crash at end of gnome-panel load . This system boot without compiz and before that gnome taskbar appear (gnome-panel) i'm seeing an other taskbar, which is replaced by the good one, and the crash happend then. I suppose that by default a Unity taskbar is loaded even if unity is not installed at all, nor compiz; not logical.

Thank you for your report!

However, processing it in order to get sufficient information for the
developers failed (it does not generate an useful symbolic stack trace). This
might be caused by some outdated packages which were installed on your system
at the time of the report:

libegl1-mesa-dbg: installed version 7.10-1ubuntu2, latest version: 7.10-1ubuntu3
libgl1-mesa-glx-dbg: installed version 7.10-1ubuntu2, latest version: 7.10-1ubuntu3
libc6-dbg: installed version 2.12.1-0ubuntu15, latest version: 2.12.1-0ubuntu16

Please upgrade your system to the latest package versions. If you still
encounter the crash, please file a new report.

Thank you for your understanding, and sorry for the inconvenience!

very strange as its on natty updated several times a day.
Looking at package release into synaptic, the latest packages are used and dont matched the ones found into dependencies.txt

So there is something wrong either with the ubuntu-bug process or with a non updated database. As this crash happen everyday after gnome-panel is loaded and same bug have already be reported and closed for the same reason (710041), you might consider this issue to "make ubuntu better"

Latest updated packages have fixed the taskbar issue, but policykit still crash in the same conditions
