Bug Description

In the Time and Date settings applet (source package: gnome-system-tools), I can't change any settings until I authenticate. Fine.

There is a lock icon and next to it, text that says, "Click to make changes".

I try to click on the text label, because the wording makes me think that I can. Nothing happens. I get confused.

I move my mouse around out of frustration, and by chance it hovers over the lock icon, and finally, I get a visual cue that *this* is something that can be clicked. Achievement unlocked!

I think either the entire text label area + icon should be clickable, or the wording should be changed to indicate that the *icon* should be clicked, not the label.

This button is going to be reworked soon anyway. This problem is known upstream, I think there's a bug open about that.

Further to comment #2 I'm marking this as "Invalid" as both of the linked reports have expired. No information relating to the flavour or release of Ubuntu was given in the report and there have been no comments for over ten years now.

If anyone sees an issue related to that which was reported then they should raise a new report clearly stating the release of Ubuntu in which they are seeing the issue.
