Package "pnp4nagios" was previously dropped from 16.04 and beyond due to a compatibility issue.

This project has (after a 2 year development hiatus) released a new version.
Would it be possible to get this re-included in the repositories for Ubuntu?
I can confirm this project compiles, installs and operates correctly on Ubuntu 16.04

Thanks for taking your time to report this issue and help making Ubuntu better.
Have you heard with Nagios maintainters if they plan to reinclude this package, see https:/ /tracker. debian. org/pkg/ pnp4nagios? Since the package has existed in earlier releases, a lot of the original packaging can probably be reused once updated to the latest source.
I've tagged this as "needs-packaging" which is the general tag for issues related to (re)introducing new packages to the archive.
