Bug Description

hp deskjet 710c printer refuses to print, although ubuntu recognises it, the printer icon jumps out in the upper right corner, but it won't simply print. it has a parallel port. i have dapper with every update until 28.05.06, but this problem was already in ubuntu 5.10.

Edit the file /etc/pnm2ppa.conf

Could you try to comment "version 7xx" or "version 8xx", whatever you uncommented, and uncomment "version" replacing it with "version 0". So, it would look like this"

version 0
#version 720
#version 820
#version 1000

and then giv it a try? And for next step, comment out all "version" lines and try again?

#version
#version 720
#version 820
#version 1000

Let us know the results.
