Bug Description

Binary package hint: pm-utils

Steps to reproduce:

1. Start a normal Ubuntu session. Click suspend from the power menu
2. The laptop seems to go to suspension state regularly: the screen dims and the power led indicates suspension correctly
3. Press any key of the keyboard
4. The laptop boots grub instead of resuming

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? Same problem on ubuntu 12.4 amd64, just after install from scratch (new installation). Was failing on 11.4 before.
