Bug Description

Binary package hint: pm-utils

Since upgrading to Kubuntu karmic I've a very strange problem: If the "lock screen on resume" is NOT checked in the KDE power settings, the complete UI seems to freeze after resuming from suspend2ram. BUT: the keyboard works without problems, so it seems more like the complete UI is ignoring any sort of mouse input or something locks UI from mouse input.

My current real strange workarround: Suspend and resume only one single time with "lock screen on resume" checked and I can uncheck the box again and don't experience any problems until I quit my KDE session (logout, reboot, ...) - at least most of the time. Sometimes the UI is even frozzen after a suspend2ram with locked screen.

I'm able to reproduce this with a newly created user, too.

I'm using Kubuntu on a Tablet PC without keyboard, so this is a REALLY big problem, as I have to have a USB keyboard with me every time i leave the house 'cause I have to be afraid of having getting hit by this bug.

Is anyone into this problem? Is information missing? Have I opened the bugreport for the wrong package?
