Bug Description

Binary package hint: pm-utils

Ubuntu Lucid
Toshiba Portege M200
No video after resume from suspend.
Also console seems not working (ALT+F2, login user, password, sudo halt, password doesn't work).
Only work ctrl + alt + print screen + S ect...

Probably related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/566002
(also https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/210222 ?)

Please disable suspend like for Dell Studio 1537, 1555, and 1640.

Tested today with un update Maverick Aplha 3
$ uname -a
Linux toshinux 2.6.35-15-generic #21-Ubuntu SMP Wed Aug 11 16:41:40 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux

Suspend to ram (and resume) works!

Doesn't work Fn+F3 but that's probably related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/210222

Tested twice with released Ubuntu maverick (10.10) with updates: both tests resulted in video problems on resume from suspend, using nouveau driver.

First resume showed a fine grey grid, with a large block cursor moving with the mouse but no apparent response to input, including Ctrl-Alt-F1 etc, so I had to restart by holding down the power button.

The second test showed a screen with a flickering/wavy display, and the "resolution" was wrong, by which I mean that only the top-left two-thirds was shown, and it filled the screen. The system was responsive to inputs. An X restart did not change the problem, so I initiated a normal clean shutdown with a brief push of the power button.
