laptop freezes up on resume from suspension

Bug Description

suspended the laptop. However on resume it freezes up, so I have to do a hard reset.
I have tried the option:
sudo pm-suspend --quirk-dpms-on
with some success though, will let you know if it continues to be successful or develops freezing again.

But unfortunately I can't give a generic "thats it" answer to this report.
You'll have to debug your special case so we can understand what happens n your case.
