Splash screen not loading

Bug Description

Plymouth splash screen does not display animation at the beginning of screen. Open Source graphics driver for ATI is in use. And this bug has been affecting my system for 3-4 years now. It has been reported as year but it was ignored.

This is not a duplicate. Its an On Going problem that has resulted in bad splash loading for the past 3 years now. That means, Since Ubuntu 9. to Ubuntu 11. It doesn't work for Usplash and It doesn't work for Plymouth.

THIS MONITOR DOES NOT FULLY FUNCTION WITH UBUNTU.

I watched the video you provided. It shows the grub splash screen, followed by the grub background, followed by a single screen clear and the start of lightdm. That's entirely consistent with bug #540801.

I don't see any indication from the linked video that your monitor isn't working with Ubuntu. Why do you say that there's a monitor problem?
