Bug Description
Binary package hint: plymouth
After the grub loader only a black screen is displayed, followed by "no signal input" until the login screen in shown. Note this takes longer to load than 9.10. After entering username+password the desktop takes a long time to load perhaps 30s longer than with 9.10. I'm using 195.36.15 nvidia drivers (6800GT AGP graphics card) which may explain the blank screen on boot: when I switch to any other tty (other than tty7) "no signal input" is displayed, but although I cannot see the screen the terminal is usable - I have successfully shut the computer down from tty1 whilst "blind".
Basically I want to know why it now takes so long to boot.
