Binary package hint: plymouth
The version I am using is Ubuntu 10.04 LTS final. This problem is coming from Beta 1 release, whenever I load the Ubuntu CD, it will display the plymouth splash (boot screen) perfectly. But as soon as I install the Ubuntu on my system and NVIDIA graphics installed on it, the resolution changes to 4 bit display.
As I can see in coding, it ask for window.getresolution() some function, if value =4 then image=ubuntu-logo16.png else image =ubuntu-logo.png.
So when I install nvidia graphics my resolution changes to 4 bit or so. and my boot screen become wider than normal .
Please suggest the sollution. |
