Bug Description
Binary package hint: plymouth
I run lucid with all recent updates. I currently have the following situation when I boot:
1) first there is a black screen
2) I press CTRL-ALT-F8 and I get a desktop that asks me for the keyring password
3) I enter the password and it throws me back to the black screen
4) after waiting a while it then takes me to the gdm login screen
5) then I can enter my password again and it finally takes me to the desktop
