2010-02-24 20:07:28 Jamie Strandboge description Binary package hint: plymouth On my T42, with KMS and using 'quiet splash' plymouth switches modes but only shows text up until gdm comes up. Attached are the files when running 'ubuntu-bug plymouth' in this state. Without KMS, plymouth will display the blue progress bars at the bottom of screen, sometimes with text falling outside of the bars (with an fsck?) and then when gdm starts, the left half the screen shows bars that look like the scheme from the gdm login and the right side of the screen is bright green. No mouse and gdm can't be manually started. I will also attach output from this state. Due to bug #507148, KMS is (still) not an option with the radeon 7500, so plymouth is totally unusable on this machine.
