Since updating to 0.8.0~-8, every second boot causes my laptop to lock up at the gdm screen.

Same bug, with nvidia blob installed.
I can use my pc only running startx from recovery mode.

From plymouth package changelog:

* src/main.c: when a splash plugin fails to load, make sure to unregister
    any related keyboard handlers.
