Bug Description

1) Description: Ubuntu Bionic Beaver (development branch)
Release: 18.04

2) plymouth:
  Installed: 0.9.3-1ubuntu1
  Candidate: 0.9.3-1ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 0.9.3-1ubuntu1 500
        500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

3) I expected to see Software Updater because I was checking for updates. This did happen and updates were installed successfully.

4) Instead, this error message appeared about halfway through the update process, immediately following another error message (bug reported just a few minutes ago).
