plucker-desktop: Missing menu entry

After installing plucker-desktop, no menu entry for the application is created. Tested on Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn.

I was wondering what you are doing with this package? We (me and Debian) are currently working on a huge fix to the Plucker desktop trying to save it. As it currently stands, we are no longer shipping the Plucker desktop, however I am trying to fix this.

I have an SVN snapshot with custom library headers I have recently submitted to Debian and we will keep on working on them until submitted. So for what its worth, if you submit a patch right now, there is a 99.9% chance that what you are doing will probably get overwritten or tossed out.

If you want, go ahead and create the .desktop file if you want and attach it here. More than likely if there isn't a desktop file in 1.8, it probably won't be in 1.9 either.

You know what RainCT, go ahead and create the patch, I will get it in to Plucker as it stands right now, there is still a good chance Debian will say no, at which time I have to work it into Ubuntu only. Which could definitely take some time.

Persia told me that plucker-desktop will get his own package so I also attach the individual files added (.desktop, .xpm and .png). Say it if there's anything more I can do.

Subscribing u-u-s and attaching the last debdiff again but with "hardy" in the changelog...

As plucker-desktop was dropped in gutsy, and remains not present in hardy, I'm unsubscribing the sponsors queue and marking this won't fix. Were it not so trivial, it might be suitable for pushing back to Feisty, but I don't believe it meets the requirements for an SRU.

Thanks a lot for the efforts, and the patch looks fine: were there a point to application, I'd be happy to sponsor.

If plucker 1.9 is ever releaed, and includes a fix for upstream issue 1784, and fails to include a .desktop file, please feel free to reopen this bug for application.
