(require graphics/turtles) does not work

Binary package hint: plt-scheme

Executing the command (require graphics/turtles) produce this error message:

 define-compound-unit/infer: untagged initialization dependent signature mred^ is supplied from a later unit with link temp3

Searching the web comes out that this is a well known bug of this version of plt-scheme (4.2.1)

The package should be updated to 4.2.2 or it should be get a patch/fix from the plt-scheme developers for this plt-scheme version (better the first solution). The bug affect _all_ versions that I know of (64 & 32 bits) lucid.

This library is especially important for educational purpose so I think it is an important bug.

Resolved using the Maverick package:

with a simple dpkg -i plt-scheme....

Please not that if you want upgrade plt-scheme you should upgrade the plt-scheme-doc accordingly...
