Bug Description

log2timeline.py fails with the following error:

$ log2timeline.py output ~/Documents/
Checking availability and versions of plaso dependencies.
[FAILURE] missing: artifacts.
[FAILURE] missing: bencode.

This was on a brand new version of Ubuntu 16.04.

This was installed with:
$ sudo apt-get install plaso

Expected to happen.
That log2timeline would work properly.

Instead it printed the message shown above about missing dependencies.

Thanks for taking your time to report this issue and help making Ubuntu better.

I get the same error message when trying to run your example with plaso 1.5.1+dfsg-3 on Ubuntu Zesty.
